I barely got to spend time with Lo & Derby and Tadd missed their first egg hunt. He did stop by for about 20 minutes for the picnic part. Grandpa Jim came to watch as well and followed Derby as he ran off in every direction.

Loen quickly picked up on the idea of grabing prizes to put into her basket. Mima T was helping her.

Derby on the other hand would put a few eggs in his basket then take them out and hurl them. How do you explain to a kid you get to be greedy and collect all these prizes before another kids gets them. It is confusing I tell you.

Afterwards Loen was kind enough to relieve her brother of his basket.

Here they are post Easter egg hunt nap Skyping their father to tell him of their adventures. At least they are both together and looking up at the same time, albeit a little groggy.

Did I get many wonderful shots in their adorable outfits from Oma and Papa Andy? No. Did I get a least one family shot on Easter? No. Did the Daddy even make it to Easter services?? No. Life has just been hectic and crazy lately! I mutter the countdown to April 15th every morning…..

On the 30th we went down to Coast Village Road in Montecito which had been transformed into Ghost Village Road.  It was so crowded we couldn’t maneuver the double stroller so we let them walk. That was fun. John dressed as Mack Daddy D came along.

Im starting to think Derby needs a toddler leash. I know some people think they are inhumane but this kid just takes off. He doesn’t even turn around to see where you are. If he sees a window of opportunity he takes it and bolts.

We only got 2 pictures of us in our Sunday finery. This is the one that turned out. I was too lazy to grab the tripod so I put the camera on a chair but we had to crouch to get in the frame. You can’t tell by this picture but Tadd was muttering under his breath how annoying the whole situation was. So very Tadd…

After we went to church the twins took a nap. Then Tadd went back to work and I took the kids to Fauxma and Fauxpas for dinner. That was fine because I ate enough ham and homemade rolls for the both of us!

Loen loves their dog Henry. And no, we will not be getting a pet lest you forget Derby is allergic. That is my answer and Im sticking to it.

The babies stayed up till 3 am. Loen would have danced the night away if you let her. We finally got everyone to bed only to be up at …… 7 am! So not fair to the mama.

Right before we took the babies to bed. Tadd was bummed he wasn’t in the picture (because he was the one taking it). Nothing a little photoshop cant fix!

We got to meet our new cousin for the first time. Guy was born December 7th. They call him little Guy because he was a little over 5 pounds when he was born. I bet half a pound is from his hair. My mom says it looks like a baby toupee. He feels like a feather when you hold him. I have already forgotten the babies being that small (& that seemed huge when they came home!)

Iain still seems to be in a transition with having a little brother. Sometimes you would ask him “Who is that?” And he would act like he didn’t see him. I’m sure it is hard to share the limelight. He is a cute little bug!

Tadd and I were so happy that we were able to spend Christmas at home. No hospital, no traveling, best of all no drama. We were both excited to see how the twins would react to everything.

We had friends and family over for Christmas Eve, of course I forgot to take pictures till almost the end.

For once we wanted the kids to wake up early but they slept in until 8:30. Finally they got up and we started with stockings (this will probably be the only year where they sleep late on Christmas morning so I shouldn’t complain) There was no stuffing the twins in their stockings this year.

She was intrigued with the paper (both of them ate a fair amount of wrapping paper, its roughage right??) She was probably surprised that we didn’t stop her from ripping up the paper, I’m sure that sent mixed messages.

After the toy explosion at our house we went for Christmas supper at Dee and Andy’s. The perfect excuse to dress them up in Holiday attire thanks to Andy Sr. & Winnie!

Our Christmas card this year. I put my name on the list so I would be sure to save a card for the twins baby book. Of course once I was finished stuffing envelopes I thought “Hey I have an extra how did I miss that?” And promptly sent it out to one of our friends. It wasn’t till after the mail was picked up did I realize that was the copy I wanted to save. Well here is one that got returned due to an incorrect address so I scanned it, unfortunately the mail carriers weren’t too gentle with the paper. It is only fitting because I had some major drama with these darned cards, i.e: incorrect margins that wasn’t realized till all the paper was printed so I had to HAND trim each card to make it look even, buying all of the silver paper at Michael’s and they have yet to restock it (why am I always short on paper??). I kept muttering that next year I would do e-cards but I probably wont….
