Yes, yes I did. Some people (Tadd’s dad Jim) said it was barbaric and child abuse. We thought she looked adorable. There are some things I (we) had settled on long before the babies were born. If we had a boy we would have him circumcised. If we had a girl I wanted her ears pierced while she was still a baby. That was how mine were done and nothing bad happened to me. I forgot to bring a camera so you’ll have to make do with cell phone pictures.

Totally clueless about what was to come. We were lucky they pierced both ears at the same time.
Tadd put down the phone to help hold her. It only took a moment and yes, she screamed. Loen quickly calmed down, then fell asleep with tears on her eyelashes.

I approve of going against the prevailing wisdom on some things, since it seems to change every decade. She looks very sweet and girly!

I almost fainted having my own ears done when I was 19 (No, not kidding), so I’m not likely to get my own kids’ ears done anytime soon.
I’m a wimp that way.
