On Sunday we were part of the Children’s Miracle Network telethon for Cottage Hospital. It was exciting to be asked to share a portion of our story. We were with the Pediatric ophthalmologist Dr. Silverberg and another family who dealt with ROP. To watch our portion of the telethon click HERE
Notice how I am doing the “mom bounce”. Right before our segment Derby started to get crabby. I noticed he was wet but I wouldn’t have had time to change him before we went on live TV. I was doing my best to keep him quiet, I was also steeling myself for the “air raid” scream. Thank goodness he kept it together till after we were done and decided to scream while we went to make their hand print tiles.

After our segment we went up to the NICU to say hi. Derby and Debbie

Wow.. that was so great to watch!! What a wonderful place to be in supporting the hospital and having the results of two wonderful babies. And seeing their handprints on the tiles gave me the biggest smile. Im very happy for you all.

hi!! just needing to catch up on my tadpoles reading….LOVED the TV segment~ the mommy bounce was cracking me up! They are STARS now!
And, oh, Loen’s giggles on the other post are too precious. I can’t wait to hear the belly laugh from the Derby-meister….with those CHEEKS, it’s going to be too much!! Well, we are back, let’s get together soon because it looks certain we are moving.
