Tadd has been watching this show called “The Dog Whisper” (yes we should turn cable off again because we are once again watching crap TV). Anyways this guy has a way with out of control dogs. He made this noise to get one dog to calm down. A forceful little “Shhhhh”. Sounds like Dr. Evil when he is trying to get Scott to stop talking. The other day Derby was just grumping. He was fed, clean and changed, so really he had NO REASON to be grouchy, other than he didn’t want his sister having extra one on one time over him. I had Loen in my arms and Derby was lying on a blanket next to me when he just starts to wail. I lie Loen down and pick up Derbs. He was being a little over dramatic so I did the “pssst” dog whisper noise and he went silent. My little man was quiet and had big eyes. I almost felt bad and wanted to look around to see if anyone had witnessed my canine indiscretion towards my son. On the other hand he was quiet thanks to a little trick I learned from Cesar Milan. Don’t worry, I will not be putting a bark collar on the twins…yet.

UPDATE: The ‘pssst’ sound was a fluke, it hasn’t worked since. I guess Derby was just humoring his mother. On the other hand he has been smiling more. So it is a hand off, instant quieting trick or adorable smiles. I’m going for the smiles.
