Smiles

March 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I am starting to think there is an unfair gravitational pull of the twins towards Tadd. First everyone says they look like him. Then on Saturday night Loen decided to unleash her first smile to Tadd. TADD! I mean come on I am the mom. I carried them, I provide the food, I spend hours on end juggling the two of them as Tadd is at work. Don’t they realize what side of the bread their butter is on?! I didn’t believe it at first. I told Tadd it was just gas but alas he got her to smile again. Oh, she is such a daddy’s girl. I think she is working on him now so she can get a Porsche when she is 16. My little chunky monkey has yet to smile. Derby is biding his time till he dazzles us with a social smile. He wants us to work for it.

Don’t worry Hava. There is still hope. Kaylee looked just like Scott when she was an infant. I was distraught! However, now she looks more like me. As for the smile. I agree that there is some injustice given all the work that moms have to do! You will have to prepare yourself for the inevitable “da da” words way before “ma ma.” That’s the one that really got to me! Maybe Paige will come through for me in the coming months :)

You’re in for it now! Time to start practicing your crazy faces.

Also, as for the mama, dada thing, if you have a cat or a dog, you can totally bypass the Dada as the first word by saying “kitty” or “doggie” over and over and over again. Caitlin’s first word, I kid you not, was kitty because we said it so FREAKIN’ often.
