Makin MiMa’s day

January 14th, 2008 · No Comments

Tadd’s mom came out for Tadd’s birthday, but you know she really came out to see the twins. Tadd was just an excuse! They have gotten so much bigger since the last time she saw them at 2 weeks old. Tamie got to see them both with nasal cannula if only for a little bit. On Friday Derby had a couple of bad A & B’s and had to be put back on CPAP .

Tamie got to hold Loen. It was the first time she has been held by anyone other than us or hospital staff. We put the kibosh on her holding Derby though, that way my mom could hold one of the twins first. You have to keep things even in Grandma land you know.

Tamie and her husband Don surprised us by buying the twins cribs. One of the stores we registered at called to let us know the cribs were there but would not tell us who bought them. The saleslady said it was an “anonymous buyer”. Well that got our interest. We were speculating on who could have gotten them. We asked our parents but they denied it. Tamie fessed up after I put Don and Tadd to work setting up the cribs on Sunday. The twins room is starting to come along. There are cribs, dressers and a rocker. There is also unpacked boxes from the move but I will deal with those soon.

Loen and her WubbaNub Tadd made fun of me for ordering these at $10 bucks a pop. Look who’s laughing now that the twins love them and you don’t have to stand there holding them since the beanie baby keeps them in place.

Though there are no pictures I cuddled Derby extra long so he wouldn’t feel left out. Later I held them both together.
