I was fortunate enough to get to do an amazing thing last night. I finally held Derby. It wouldn’t have mattered which one, it would have been just as amazing if it had been Loen. I don’t even know how to describe it. No cuddling was involved, just holding him up so that the nurse could change out his linens. But I still held him. I waited 33 days, but it was worth it.
