20 weeks – we’re half way there. Actually we are more than half way there as I seriously doubt I will be carrying to 40 weeks. As my OB told me early on “Anytime after 36 weeks you want to schedule a C-section it is fine”. I have a feeling it will be 36 weeks and 1 day. I will try and be stoic and say ‘I will wait till the end’ but if I’m feeling twice the beached whale that I do now I will cave.
We saw the OB today. It must have been a sign that I forgot to bring my camera, because it was just a quick “tummy check”. We heard their heartbeats, Loen’s sounds slower than Derby’s. My fundal measurement is 24 centimeters. That means I’m as big as a woman carrying one baby at 24 weeks. I’ve gained a walloping 10 pounds since I got pregnant. Why is it when you want to gain weight you cant. The doctor said it was fine, I’m healthy and I probably wont be complaining about weight gain in a month. Something like “Just wait, you wont even recognize yourself in a month”. Well that makes me excited.
This evening the babies got all dressed up for an intimate fund raiser that D & A were throwing at their house for Mitt Romney. When A first invited us I will be honest and say I didn’t really know who he was, I don’t follow politics. Tadd thought it would be interesting to hear him speak. Who knows, if he is elected President I can tell the babes they had their picture taken with him. I felt really out of place as he was talking about political leaders and events and I was clueless. I really should read the front page of a paper sometime. The babies were particularly excited about the hor d’oeuvres that were going around. It was catered by Rincon Catering, they cater all of D & A’s parties. So good, I was bummed when I saw the tray of seared ahi skewers go by and I couldn’t eat one. Tadd wanted to leave because he had to go back to work (it is getting close to some tax deadline) thank god the dessert trays came out before we left. They had these little spoons with a bite of creme brulee on each. I managed to snag a few before we headed out the door. These babies sure have the life, seeing the Beastie Boys in concert, meeting a Presidential nominee, creme brulee. I hope they know how good they have it.
Tadd needs to take me out so I have an occasion to wear this dress again before I outgrow it! I’m wearing my “I just had 4 spoons of creme brulee” smirk.

Here are some pics of the Beastie Boys at the Santa Barbara Bowl that I never got around to posting. It is an awesome place to see a concert.

You look absolutely amazing. Your belly is perfectly round and you look wonderful. So happy for you!
Cole went to the Green Day & 311 concert. He also went to see Dave Matthews. Nothing like a churro to get Cole wound up.
