Praise the Lord!

After my crazy day yesterday I had planned to sleep in and be a slug most of the day, but my body seems to be on this ridiculous schedule of getting up, using the bathroom and getting food by 7am. After that was taken care of I got back into bed and read and dozed. I was pretty content. At noon my friend Jeni called to see if I wanted to go for a walk downtown. I got dressed and Jeni met me at my house. Her son is 4 weeks old now and he is a linebacker! Grady was a week late, 9lbs 2 oz and had a 14 1/2″ head (newborns usually have a 13″ head circumference). I told Jeni she is the reason I don’t want to do natural childbirth! Grady is so cute. I think Tadd was slow getting back to work after lunch just so he could see him. He is already wearing 3 month old clothing and holds his head like a champ. We had a nice walk and looked at stores and I got to hold the baby. When I got home I was wiped out! I took a nap from 3 to 5 pm. I laid around a bit reading then went to the store to get stuff for dinner. Tadd got home around 7 and told me when we finished eating we needed to head out to see J.P. (the youngest of the boys I took care of). I asked Tadd why and he said J.P. called him and was sad and wanted us to come over. I was feeling a little sorry for myself because he called Tadd and not me. I see how it is, they have moved on, sniff, sniff…. So we went out there after dinner and I was talking to everyone just catching up. I hadn’t seen them in over a week. Dee tells me that she had made lots of food because her parents are going to watch the boys while they are in New York this weekend and had extra to send home with me. Dee is a fab cook, so I was excited to get some home cooking. She told me she had frozen it and walks out to the big freezer in the garage to get it. She comes back in with a styrofoam cooler box all ready. I thought “How sweet, she made me a huge frozen food bundle and packed it”. I’m all excited and open the cooler when I see this

HALLELUJAH!

If you read my blog on It’s-It than you know how excited I was to now have a plethora of Its-It in my possession. Dee said she had read where I didn’t get any when I went to my parents and they ordered me 2 CASES!!! I told Tadd I was going to count how many there were so I would know if he was sneaking them. I left some at their house for the boys and Andy. Tadd ate one and I had just a bite because I was still full from dinner to eat a whole one myself. It was sooooo good, I haven’t had one in years.

When we got home I had to rearrange the freezer to get them all to fit. It looks like I knocked over an ice cream truck.

After I got them all in I noticed the babies were moving. I had Tadd put his hand on my belly and he could feel them too. All it took was one bite of an Its-It and they were dancing for joy.

I have been truly spoiled today.

Matt ate Andy’s It’s-It while we were out of town. He said it wouldn’t be fair to let him have it, since he would only want more. Hmmmm . . . sounds a bit fishy to me! :)
