We knew awhile back ago that we had outgrown our little 1 bedroom apartment. Tadd thought we would possibly be able to live here till the baby was a few months old and save money for a house. I thought that was RICKDICALOUS (SNL anyone? http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/ – mea=45403) Evidently Tadd thought the baby could live in a dresser drawer. Notice I am saying baby, this is before we found out we were getting two for the price of…..well, two. We think we have found our new place. It seems huge compared to where we are now. Though I am clueless regarding square footage I think our place now is like 600 square feet and the new place is 1400 square feet with a back yard. I feel like that much space is just an invitation to collect crap. Though we will have lots of room for the tadpoles and a 3rd bedroom for the free help relatives. Only in Santa Barbara can a 3 bedroom condo be more than everybody Tadd knows in Michigan’s mortgage payment. Actually our current place is more than most people in Michigan pay in mortgage. Did I mention it is double what we pay now?! As someone recently told Tadd “We live where people vacation”.
Money, you can’t take it with you. I just want to have enough so our ride is a little smoother. (Oh I’m such a liar. I want more than that)

This is so funny! Congrats on finding a new place… I forgot Tadd was from Michigan too… that’s a correct assessment about mortgage payments!

OMG! 1400 sqft in SB!! I am so happy for you guys! John and I love your Bath apt, but more space will definitely be nice for the tadpoles. Forget comparing the payments to mortgages in MI. We all know life in MI consists of gossip, the beast, and slush…yuck, yuck, and yuck. I love this website and thank you so much for sharing. I’ve been showing the Tammy vid to everyone b/c it is so hilarious. Hava-your muffin top commentary also made me pee my pants a little b/c I was laughing so hard. It feels like it has been forever since John and I have seen both of you. I think a visit after the babies have hit the scene will be in order. I love both of you to pieces and look forward to reading about your adventure…
