We overnighted a box to my my step-dad Lee and his wife Deb the day before leaving for MI. Shortly after getting to my mom’s place, I called my dad to see if he had received the mail yet and found out that he was working today. I got a call back about 5 hours later. Apparently Deb saw the box on the front porch addressed to the McD’s and thought it was vitamins that she had ordered a few days before. I guess that she didn’t look at the return address! When my dad got home, Deb immediately gave him the box to open.  She told me later that she couldn’t stand waiting for him to come home – I think that we are lucky that she didn’t call him while he was at work!  I’m not sure how long it took him to figure out what was going on, but we got a call shortly after and they both sounded excited.  I am so happy that we decided to tell our parents with a package instead of just a phone call.
